Everyone's been talking about Bodø/Glimt. We think Tromsø is next.

They sit even further north, miles from Europe's biggest stages, and they're still the 8th best club in the Nordics, despite being only the 24th biggest as measured by resources.
That's not luck. Tromsø have structured their squad impressively, give young players plenty of playing time, and are excellent at player development. Take Jens Hjertø-Dahl, who our model values north of €10M. He could end up selling for more than big clubs like Djurgården, IFK Göteborg, Malmö FF, Brann, Brøndby or AGF have ever sold a player for.
Bigger clubs have more sponsorship and matchday revenue. But it's not all about that. It's about how you use the revenue you have, to grow and to get as much performance per euro spent. Smaller clubs need to be better at that if they want to compete, and Tromsø is a model for exactly that.
Smaller clubs in Scandinavia, in Finland and Iceland should be paying attention.
