This policy covers goalunit.io, our public website. The Goalunit platform (platform.goalunit.io) has its own terms and privacy policy for clients and users.

What we collect and why
When you book a demo
We collect your name, club or organisation, role and email address. We use them to reply, arrange the demo and follow up on it.
Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering business enquiries and selling our services to clubs.
Kept for: 24 months after our last contact with you, unless you become a client.
When you email or call us
We keep what you send us and our replies, so we can handle your request.
Legal basis: legitimate interest.
Kept for: as long as needed to handle the matter, and no longer than 24 months after our last contact.
When you apply for a job
We receive what you choose to send: usually your name, contact details, CV, and any case work or links.
Legal basis: steps taken at your request before a possible employment contract, and our legitimate interest in recruiting.
Kept for: 6 months after the recruitment closes. If we'd like to keep your details for future roles, we ask you first.
When you visit the site
With your consent, we use Google Analytics (via Google Tag Manager) to see how the site is used: pages visited, how you arrived, device and browser type, and approximate location. These tools set cookies. If you say no, we don't load them.
Legal basis: your consent. You can withdraw it at any time through the cookie settings link in the footer.
Kept for: 14 months in Google Analytics.
Your cookie choice itself is saved in one small cookie (goalunit_consent) so we don't ask again on every visit. It is shared between this site and the Goalunit platform, so one choice covers both. It only holds whether you accepted analytics, and we don't use it for anything else. Kept for: 12 months after your last visit.
Our hosting provider also records technical logs (IP address, time, page requested) to keep the site running and secure. Legal basis: legitimate interest. Kept for: 30 days.
We don't sell personal data, and we don't use it for automated decisions about you.
Who we share it with
We use these providers to run the site and handle enquiries. They process data on our behalf, under data processing agreements:
Google Workspace for email, and to receive demo requests.
Google Cloud for hosting the website, in the EU (europe-north1, Finland).
Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager for site statistics, only with your consent.
Google Fonts to load the site's typefaces.
Google may process data outside the EU/EEA. Where it does, the transfer is covered by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the EU Commission's standard contractual clauses.
We may also share data when the law requires it.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
give you a copy of the data we hold about you
correct it
delete it
restrict how we use it
send it to you in a portable format
You can also object to our use of it when we rely on legitimate interest, and withdraw any consent you've given.
Email info@goalunit.com and we'll reply within one month.
If you think we've handled your data wrongly, you can complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten, imy.se).
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If the change is significant, we'll also say so on the site.
